From Vines to Thorns Within

Isaiah 7:23-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 7 in context

Scripture Focus

23And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, it shall even be for briers and thorns.
24With arrows and with bows shall men come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns.
Isaiah 7:23-24

Biblical Context

Places that once held abundant vines become briars and thorns; the land is transformed into a scene of struggle and warning.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your consciousness is the stage where this prophecy moves. The 'thousand vines' symbolize the wealth of thoughts, loves, and plans you have imagined for your life. When you dwell in fear or scarcity, the inner climate corrodes into briars and thorns, and the world answers with struggle, arrows, and defense. But the law of consciousness is forgiving and exact: you can revise the scene by returning to your I AM, the source that names you the ruler of your inner land. Picture the garden again as lush; feel the vitality surge in your chest; declare that abundance is your natural state and that lack is only a belief you withdraw. The phrase 'it shall come to pass' is not future-time fate but the present mechanism by which imagination molds reality. If you hold a new vision, your external world will bend to it, not by shouting but by moving into the felt sense of the restored garden. You exile the old belief aloud and welcome the return of your true garden.

Practice This Now

Assume the state of abundance now; feel the I AM as your constant presence. In your next quiet moment, revise the scene by picturing the land as lush vines where briars stood, and let the feeling of it become real.
