From Clay to Father Within

Isaiah 64:7-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 64 in context

Scripture Focus

7And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.
8But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
9Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
Isaiah 64:7-9

Biblical Context

People feel distant from God because of sin, then acknowledge God as Father who shapes them like clay; they ask for forgiveness and remind themselves they belong to Him.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your true self is the I AM that never left. The cry in the text calls you back to awareness: call on the name that is your own consciousness; there is no distance, only perception. You are the clay and He is the potter; every experience is His shaping, every sensation a texture of the self made in His image. Confirm that God is Father and feel the ground soften as you surrender to the process. You forgive the past by redefining it as memory in mind, not as fact in being. When you abide as the veritable you, the hidden face appears as the face of Love and you recognize you are all thy people in the sense that all are created of the same divine substance your awareness. Practice this revision until it feels real, and life will answer as the outward sign of your inner realization.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit in quiet, place your hand on your heart, and declare thou art my Father; I am the clay, You are the potter. Feel the trust of being shaped by His hands until separation dissolves into oneness.
