Inner Manifestation of Divine Power
Isaiah 64:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 64 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Isaiah 64:1-2 pleads for God's visible intervention. It describes descent and powerful presence that dissolves resistance and makes the nations tremble.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Isaiah's cry you are not asking God to go somewhere; you are asked to enter a state of consciousness where God already is. Rend the heavens refers to breaking the ceiling of your present self-impressions; come down is the awareness of I AM stepping into your day. The mountains flowing at thy presence describe the dissolution of fixed beliefs and identifications when the mind rests in the Presence you are. The melting fire that makes waters boil is the heat of your feeling, the emotional illumination that stirs the surface of life when you acknowledge and feel your divine nature. The aim is that thy name be known to thine adversaries; in this sense, the adversaries are fear, doubt, and limitation, which tremble when you stand in the realization that you are the I AM, the dwelling place of God. The kingdom of God is not distant; it is the continual demonstration of the Self in you. Expectancy, assumption, and feeling being real are the tools: when you know your divine identity, externals align to reflect that knowledge.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the feeling of the presence as not future but present. Repeat 'I AM' in your mind and imagine that the heavens rend within you, mountains dissolve, and power flows through every cell.
