Isaiah 60:19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 60 in context

Scripture Focus

19The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
Isaiah 60:19

Biblical Context

The sun and moon no longer serve as the light; the Lord becomes your everlasting inner light and your glory.

Neville's Inner Vision

Read as a shift in consciousness, this verse says the day’s sun and the moon’s light are not the true source of illumination. The enduring light is the LORD, and that light is your inner awareness—your I AM—glowing with God’s glory. In Neville’s language, the outer world is a mirror of inner states; when you believe you are only what you see in the sky, you remain dim. But perceiving the Lord as everlasting light upgrades your center of gravity: from fluctuating circumstances to an unshakable, inner radiance. Your glory is not earned from fame or power; it is God reflected in you as consciousness itself. Thus, the future Isaiah promises is really a present transformation: you awaken to the revelation that you are already the light by which things are known. If you notice a dull day, revise: I am illuminated by the LORD within; my surroundings respond to this certainty. Stay with the feeling-time: imagine the I AM as a radiant sun that never sets, and declare inwardly, The LORD is my everlasting light.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe gently, and assume the Lord is your everlasting light. Feel that inner radiance widen until it fills every corner of awareness and you rest in the I AM.
