Isaiah 60: Inner Light and Salvation
Isaiah 60:18-22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 60 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Violence and destruction are banished from the land, and walls are named Salvation while gates are Praise. The LORD becomes everlasting light, the people are righteous, and a small beginning can grow into a mighty nation.
Neville's Inner Vision
Inside you is the city Isaiah describes. You are not waiting for light; you are the light you seek. The land around you is your state of consciousness, and its borders are formed by belief. When you name your inner walls Salvation and your gates Praise, you seal a reality that cannot be offended by the outer scene. The sun and moon of ordinary events pale beside the LORD, your everlasting light, the glory of your awareness. As you acknowledge I AM as your life—this I AM here and now—you discover your people, your thoughts, are righteous in this moment, and you inherit the land of perception itself. A single thought, cherished in faith, can become a multitude; I, the LORD, hasten its fulfillment in its time through your trust. Mourning gives way to expectancy, not through external change but by awakening to the fact that you are the branch of His planting, designed to shine. The kingdom begins in consciousness and shines into daily life, here and now, in your own being.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, settle into the I AM presence, and declare: I am the LORD, the everlasting light in me. See your life as a city whose walls are Salvation and gates Praise, and feel the dawn continuously lighting your days.
