Arise And Shine Within

Isaiah 60:1-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 60 in context

Scripture Focus

1Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
2For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
4Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
Isaiah 60:1-4

Biblical Context

Arise and reveal your inner light; the verse speaks of God's glory resting on you even as darkness covers the earth. It envisions others being drawn to your brightness as your true self awakens.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your Isaiah 60:1-4 moment is a call to the inner man and woman who knows that the light is already yours. Arise and shine is a decree from your own I AM. Darkness may surround the surface of the world, but that darkness is the memory of a former self. The LORD rising upon thee is the acknowledgment that divine presence is waking through you. The glory seen upon thee is the radiance of consciousness, not an external display. The gentiles and kings coming to thy light are the attracting power of your inner state; when you shift to the assumption that you are this light, others respond to that new center of gravity. Lift up thy eyes round about—turn attention away from limitation and toward the horizon of your own completed being. Your sons shall come from far and your daughters shall be nurtured at thy side: this is the assurance that your life, your relationships, and your opportunities rise to meet you as you stand in the truth of your limitless I AM. The new kingdom is not coming; it is waking within you now.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume the feeling that you are already the radiant light described in the verse. Dwell in the I AM until that sensation feels settled and real.
