Arise, Shine: Inner Light Emerges

Isaiah 60:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 60 in context

Scripture Focus

1Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Isaiah 60:1

Biblical Context

Arise and shine signal an inner realization that your light has already arrived; the glory of the LORD rests upon your consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, God is the I AM that recognizes itself as light. When you hear Arise, shine, you are not urged toward a future illumination but invited to awaken your present awareness. The light is come because your consciousness has already become aware of itself; the glory of the LORD rises upon you as the inner movement of wakefulness. The glory is not a distant halo but the radiance of realized identity shining through thoughts, feelings, and daily events. To interpret the verse, grasp that your outer world mirrors your inner state; therefore, to arise and shine is to revise your sense of self until you live from the truth that you are the light itself. Practice turning your attention from lack to the I AM and letting that awareness fill the scene; as you dwell in that self, your surroundings respond with order, harmony, and a felt presence of divine companionship.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, breathe, and repeat, 'I AM light; I am risen in me now.' Let the sensation of warmth confirm the revised self and observe the room brighten.
