11Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
Isaiah 6:11

Biblical Context

The verse records a question about duration and a tough answer: exile and desolation persist until inner conditions shift. It invites attention to inner states as the source of outer reality.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, you are the I Am. When you hear the question 'how long?' you are listening with the outer ear to the time-clock of the senses. The answer given is not a calendar but a change in the inner weather. Cities wasted and houses deserted are symbolic, representing beliefs, habits, and identifications that have grown barren in your mind. You have forgotten your true kingly nature and have lived in a dream of lack; therefore the outer city collapses into ruin as long as you hold that dream. But the moment you awaken to the fact that you are the imagination of the I Am, you can reverse the prophecy. Do not seek to repair the world; assume the end you desire as already present, and feel it real. In that inner state the cities are restored, the houses filled with life, the land becomes fertile. Duration ceases to be a tyrant when you dwell in the belief that your inner vision is the governing power.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the fulfilled state now; feel the inner city alive and restored in your chest. Carry that sense of I AM with you and know the outer signs will follow.
