Healing Peace in Isaiah 57
Isaiah 57:17-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 57 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage shows God judging covetousness and then promising healing, guidance, and restoration. It also declares a universal peace for both far and near.
Neville's Inner Vision
From the Neville lens, these verses translate as a move of God from judgment to healing within the consciousness. The 'iniquity of covetousness' is a belief in lack, a restless impulse to possess. When God says 'I have seen his ways, and will heal him,' this is not external acts but an inward decision of the I AM to revise a state. The smiting and hiding are the inner clamor of fear, which drives the person along 'the way of his heart' in separation from the divine flow. Yet the promise remains: I will lead him, restore comforts, and bring peace to those near and far. The line 'I create the fruit of the lips' declares that peace is the result of creative speech and feeling state. Therefore, the reader is invited to shift from judgment of self and others to the realization that peace already exists as a present condition of awareness. When you accept this I AM-state, healing unfolds and your world is reordered to reflect harmony, restoration, and unity.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, assume the I AM as your living reality, and declare, 'I am healed now.' Visualize the faces and places touched by gentleness, and let the feeling of peace enter your heart and your world.
