Higher Thoughts, Higher Ways
Isaiah 55:8-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 55 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God declares that His thoughts and ways are higher than ours, pointing to a divine order beyond human plans. The verse invites your inner state to expand in trust that a higher consciousness governs your life.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the I AM, dear reader, you learn that God's thoughts and ways are not your current habits of thinking or acting. Not to condemn your present, but to invite you home to a higher order of consciousness. The heavens are higher than the earth in your inner atmosphere; as you dwell in a state where your thoughts harmonize with that order, outer events bend to reflect it. The Lord is the I AM behind all awareness; when you declare, I am in harmony with the higher thoughts, you are not petitioning God as distant; you are choosing to align your inner state with the divine pattern. Practice discernment by watching your thoughts rise and fall, and revision by choosing a new assumption: I am now living in the higher mind that governs my days. Feel it real by imagining a scene that implies harmony, provision, and guidance, and letting that feeling saturate your body. Trust in a providence that guides you from within, not an external will; your faith is not blind, but a growing alignment with the higher thoughts that already know your name.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare: I am the I AM, aligned with the higher thoughts now. Assume you are already where you wish to be, and feel that reality in your chest.
