Inner Rock of Origin
Isaiah 51:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 51 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Plain summary: The verse invites you who seek righteousness to turn inward and reckon your origin in the rock of consciousness and the depth you emerged from. It points to Abraham and Sarah as your spiritual ancestors, whose calling and blessing are active in your life today.
Neville's Inner Vision
Turn your attention inward, for Isaiah invites you to a state of consciousness rather than a distant history. Hearken is not to an outer command but to the awareness you are willing to inhabit now. The rock whence you are hewn is the unchanging I AM, the steady stand of awareness that cannot be moved by circumstance. The pit from which you were digged represents every yesterday you have believed about yourself; yet your present imagination, rightly claimed, can transform that depth into a seed from which blessing grows. Look to Abraham your father and Sarah your mother; in this inner reframing they symbolize a faith that acts through imagination and a birth of ideas through steadfast attention. God called him alone and blessed him, and increased him—so you are invited to recognize that the same divine action is operating in you today. When you dwell in the truth of your inner origin, the apparent gaps between you and your desire dissipate; the promise becomes your present experience, and increase follows as a natural expression of realized consciousness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes and assume the state: I am the rock of my being, unshaken; the past is a seed from which blessing grows. Feel the blessing as already accomplished and let that assurance expand in you.
