Inner King, Idols Fading

Isaiah 45:13-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 45 in context

Scripture Focus

13I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.
14Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.
15Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.
16They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.
17But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
Isaiah 45:13-17

Biblical Context

God proclaims that He has raised a righteous agent to direct the people’s paths, rebuild the inner city, and set captives free without price; idols will be exposed as powerless, and salvation comes from the LORD.

Neville's Inner Vision

I stand and tell you that the message is not about some distant king, but about the rise of your right sense—the inner Cyrus—who directs every step of your life. When you align with this inner director, the inner city rises; your captives—fear, doubt, need for external proof—are let go without price, simply as you refuse to market your worth any longer. The so-called labour and merchandise of the world are but images moving toward your consciousness; they come after you, bound by your decision to trust the I AM. They will bow and plead, 'Surely God is in you,' for you have declared the truth. Yet heed: God is hidden within you, the savior you seek. Idols of power, worship, and form will be confounded; their illusion dissolves when you awaken to the LORD within. Israel—the divine kernel in you—shall be saved by the LORD with everlasting salvation; you shall not be ashamed or confounded, world without end.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the inner director is guiding you now; in your own words, declare, 'The I AM directs my steps; my inner city is rebuilt; my captives are released.' Then dwell in the feeling of freedom as if it already happened.
