Scripture Focus

5Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
Isaiah 42:5

Biblical Context

God created the heavens and the earth and grants breath and spirit to all who live. The verse anchors life in the divine source within.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Isaiah's line I see the I AM announcing that creation is not out there but inside you. The 'God the LORD' who stretched the heavens is the imagining you hold in consciousness, the boundaryless sky you freely extend with a single assumption. When it says He gives breath unto the people and spirit to them that walk therein, it is your own inner respiration—the life you cultivate by the stories you accept about yourself. The heavens and the earth you behold are the ordered states of your mind; to create them you only turn in and state, 'I AM that I AM,' and let the breath of that awareness fill your chest. The act of breathing becomes a symbol of the continuous motion of consciousness, the continual expansion of your inner horizon. To walk therein is to live within a consistent assumption, to treat the day as already complete and to feel the reality of your wish as if it exists now. The verse invites you to trust the sovereign designer within—the very I AM that speaks through your sensations and images.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state of already having your wish; breathe deeply while affirming 'I AM' and let your inner sky expand as if you are walking in created order.
