Inner Threshing Instrument

Isaiah 41:15-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 41 in context

Scripture Focus

15Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
16Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 41:15-16

Biblical Context

The verses promise that God will empower you to become a new, sharp instrument that threshes mountains and turns hills into chaff. Through this inner act, you are delivered and can rejoice in the Lord.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within your consciousness the mountains are states of mind, not geographies. When God says He will make you a new sharp threshing instrument, He speaks to your I AM—your renewed awareness with teeth of conviction. As you assume this state, mountains of fear and limitation crumble; the hills of doubt and pride are ground to chaff by the breath of truth. The fan and the whirlwind are the inner movements of Spirit that carry away appearances of lack. In this inner practice you rejoice in the LORD and glory in the Holy One of Israel because you finally perceive that the divine Presence is your own awareness, rearranged by your acceptance. The outer world then reflects the inner shift: you become the instrument God made you to be, and your life reorganizes to match the renewed state you persist in imagining.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the new sharp threshing instrument as your real state; feel the teeth of awareness, imagine mountains dissolving into dust and the wind carrying them away, then declare I rejoice in the LORD.
