Valleys Exalted, Glory Revealed

Isaiah 40:4-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 40 in context

Scripture Focus

4Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
5And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Isaiah 40:4-5

Biblical Context

The passage uses landscape imagery to describe inner shifts in consciousness. When those inner states align with God's truth, the glory of the LORD is revealed.

Neville's Inner Vision

Valleys are not obstacles but states you have accepted as your present identity. Exalt them by declaring, in the I AM that you are, a higher possibility than limitation. Mountains of fear and pride sink when you persist in the feeling of already having what you seek. The crooked places become straight and the rough places plain when your attention is fixed on the truth you intend to live, not on the problem. The verse does not promise a distant day; it announces a present conviction: the glory of the LORD shall be revealed in your awareness because the mouth of the LORD has spoken it. See that you are the embodiment of that glory now; your inner vision is the only sight that matters. As you imagine from the end, as you feel it real, the outer circumstances adjust to your inner state, and all flesh—every state of consciousness—sees the same revelation in unison.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and assume the state 'I AM' as your immediate reality, then revise any limitation by declaring, 'Valleys are exalted; mountains are lowered; the crooked are straight.' Feel it real until you sense the glory of the LORD revealing in your awareness.
