Opening The Inner Way Of Isaiah 35
Isaiah 35:5-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 35 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
It depicts inner restoration: eyes and ears opening, limbs moving freely, streams in the desert, and a holy road for the redeemed that leads to everlasting joy. The outward symbols mirror a transformation of consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your imagination is the healing stream in this prophecy. When you refuse to identify with lack and instead dwell in the I AM that opens eyes and unstops ears, you begin to walk the Way of Holiness. The blind seeing and the deaf hearing are not miracles happening to you but transformations of your state of consciousness. In the wilderness of limitation, waters break out because you have turned your attention toward life; the parched ground becomes a pool as you hold the inner picture long enough for feeling to rise. The highway named The Way of Holiness becomes your habitual atmosphere, where the unclean of fear and doubt are left behind; you, the redeemed, walk without fear, for the lion and ravenous beasts cannot approach a state that esteems its own Divinity. The ransomed of the LORD return to Zion with songs and everlasting joy on their heads. This is simply your inner restoration: a shift in state, where sorrow flees when you acknowledge you are the Imagination of God made flesh.
Practice This Now
Sit for a minute and assume the state I am awakened now—see with inner sight, hear with inner hearing, and walk the holy road in consciousness. Hold that feeling and revise any doubt until it feels real.
