Inner Reign of God Within Isaiah 24:21-23
Isaiah 24:21-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 24 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
It proclaims a day when God's sovereignty replaces human power; rulers are gathered and restrained, and the divine reign is established. In Neville's sense, that reign begins in your own heart.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider this verse as a map of your inner territory. The 'host of the high ones' are the elevated thoughts that would rule your mood and your life from without; the 'kings of the earth' are those outward conditions you have worshiped as power—money, status, opinions. When you awaken to the Lord of hosts reigning in Mount Zion, you are simply choosing a new center of gravity inside your own mind: I AM awareness itself seated on the throne. The moon shall be confounded and the sun ashamed because light shifts from dependency on things outside to fidelity to the eternal you are. Zion becomes your decisive state, and the ancients—wisdom, steadfastness, and love—stand gloriously as witnesses to this sovereignty. In this light, the world is not forcing its will on you; your inner decree commands the scene. Your outer life mirrors the inner order you accept in imagination. The verse invites you to acknowledge that true power belongs to the consciousness that remains undisturbed by appearances.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume the feeling 'I AM reigns within,' and rest there for a few minutes, letting worldly concerns fall back into a reflection of your inner sovereignty. Then observe how the day responds as events begin to align with this inner state.
