Isle of Stillness and Supply

Isaiah 23:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 23 in context

Scripture Focus

2Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
Isaiah 23:2

Biblical Context

Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; the verse calls for quieting the mind, suggesting that outward replenishment comes from an inner source rather than external bustle.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the 'island' is your present state of consciousness. Be still means withdraw attention from external appearances and listen to the I AM within. The 'merchants of Zidon' crossing the sea are not strangers bringing goods; they are thoughts and impressions passing through your aware mind, the traffic of imagination. When you remain restless you identify with lack, and the sea-born traders refresh that sense of scarcity. But when you quiet the mind, you allow your inner source to replenish your world. Replenishment is not a change of place but a revision of belief: you are the one who orders the market, the bank, the abundance, by the capacity of your awareness. See the crossing traders as mere signs that you already possess the supply you seek, calling forth the image and feeling of prosperity from within. In that stillness, the I AM reveals itself as your source, and your external conditions reflect that inner wealth. Rest in the conviction that you are the island, eternally replenished by your own consciousness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and assume the stance of the still island. Repeat softly: I am the stillness that gathers abundance. Visualize sea traders crossing the horizon and delivering wealth directly into my consciousness, so I feel already supplied.
