Key to Your Inner House
Isaiah 22:22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 22 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse speaks of a holder of the key who can open what is shut and shut what is open. It points to an inner authority over one’s own realm.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner scripture, the house of David is your own being—the state of consciousness you are willing to claim. The key laid upon the shoulder is not a historical tool but your conscious assumption. If you believe you have the power to open doors no one can close, you live as that power now. When you imagine clearly with the feeling that entry is yours, you alter the very order of events; doors that were closed yield, opportunities present themselves, and limitations recede because you have identified with the I AM that governs your world. The command is simple: you are the one who decides what you admit and what you deny. The external world becomes a map of your inner state, responding to the tone of your mind. Do not seek permission from without; find the key within and place your attention on the state you desire. As you dwell in that state, your inner door is already opened, and the outer scene follows suit.
Practice This Now
Assume now that you hold the key to your inner house. Close your eyes, place a hand on your chest, and repeat quietly, 'I AM the door; I open what is mine to open.'
