Inner Desert, Riches Restored
Isaiah 15:6-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 15 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage describes desolate waters and the carrying away of abundance, signaling inner scarcity rather than mere geography.
Neville's Inner Vision
Desolation in Isaiah is not a map of lands but a map of mind. When Nimrim’s waters appear desolate, it is the moment the self tells a story of lack—hay withered, grass vanished, a green thing that no longer exists. Yet the I AM within you remains untouched by the seen drought; abundance is your true state, not a seasonal harvest. The words “they carry away their abundance to the brook of the willows” describe the movement of form, not the end of you. The brook is the constant flow of change, through which old forms are carried away, while your essential consciousness stays intact. To turn this verse into power, refuse to concede to the drought. Assume the presence of supply, feel the renewal as real here and now, and let the mind’s image replace the outer scene. In so doing, you discover that the kingdom does not depart with the fields; it rests within you, ready to be seen in every return.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and declare, I AM the source of all supply; I accept abundance as my natural state. Then rest for a minute in that feeling, and observe how the sense of drought yields to a steady inner wealth.
