Inner Muster of God Within
Isaiah 13:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 13 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
A loud multitude is heard on the mountains, a tumult of nations gathering; it depicts the LORD of hosts mustering the hosts for battle.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the noise you hear as not out there, but within you: a chorus of beliefs, fears, and desires vying for attention. The mountains are your fixed patterns; the great people are the dramatic pictures your imagination has invited to stand on the stages of your mind. When you hear the tumult of many nations, hear it as the clash of old stories with a new choice you wish to reveal. The LORD of hosts is your I AM, the still, absolute awareness that can gather any army you desire. He does so not to assault life, but to present you with a moment of decision: which vision will you insist on as real? The muster is already complete in your interior; the battle is the turning of your allegiance from limitation to possibility. By recognizing that your inner state creates outer appearance, you can shift the scene by one simple act: assume the end in present tense and feel it real, right now, in your chest.
Practice This Now
Practice: close your eyes, declare I am the Lord of hosts within me now, and dwell in the feeling that your desired outcome is already true; hold that sense for 3–5 minutes daily.
