Ephraim declares an end to idols, recognizing true nourishment comes from the divine within; the Lord's ways are right, and the righteous walk in them, while the rebellious stumble.
Neville's Inner Vision
All verses are stages of consciousness. Ephraim’s question—What have I to do any more with idols?—is the moment you grow tired of outer cravings and turn inward. I have heard Him and observed Him; that statement is the awareness waking in you. You become the green fir tree: evergreen, self-nourished by the Spirit that dwells within. From this tree springs the fruit of your life—wisdom, love, justice, and fulfilled purpose—found not by chasing forms but by being formed in the I AM. The ways of the LORD are right is the inner law you now obey; the just shall walk in them means you walk in harmony with your true nature, and your steps are steady because you listen to the inner authority. Those who cling to illusion—the transgressors—fall therein, into old patterns that no longer satisfy. Practice is simple: align your inner state with the I AM, and the outer world rearranges to match. The universe does not change you; you awaken to the truth of your oneness with God, and life takes the shape of your inner conviction.
