Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Verse 11:6-7 warns that swords will be in the cities, devouring the people's plans and the branches of their life because of their own counsels. It also says that my people tend to backslide from the Most High and do not exalt Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
Verse 11:6-7 speaks in the language of consequences, but in the Neville key it is a map of interior states. The sword that lingers over cities is the stubborn belief that life is apart from the I AM, the mind's own counsels devouring its branches when kept separate from divine awareness. My people are bent to backsliding from me, a drift from the recognition that you are the I AM, not a body reacting to fear or desire. When you call to the Most High, yet do not exalt Him within, you create a split between your present experience and your true self, and your outer world responds in kind with scenes of judgment and scarcity. The remedy is simple and immediate: align your inner state with the truth of your oneness, act as if the I AM is the governing principle in every thought and feeling, and revise past decisions by assuming a different outcome already realized in your consciousness. Feel the reality of your unity; let the old counsels dissolve in the assurance that you are the presence that establishes all you call forth.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In the next moment, assume the state 'I AM' as the governing reality. Revise a past decision by imagining it already resolved and feel the relief and unity as if it were real.
