Read Hosea 10 in context

Scripture Focus

3For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us?
Hosea 10:3

Biblical Context

Hosea 10:3 states they have no king because they did not fear the LORD, highlighting how an absence of inner reverence correlates with a loss of inner governance. The verse points to the inner condition that shapes outer life.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the psyche, to say there is no king is to confess that a higher ruler has not yet been recognized. The king is not a crown in a chair of politics but the I AM, the aware self that orders thoughts and feelings. When fear governs, you feel adrift, and life appears to have no sovereign. But the moment you align with the awareness that you are the I AM perceiving, you become the monarch of your inner realm. Make this assumption: I am the king in my mind, and the LORD is the source of life. Then revise: fear is not the ruler of me; the I AM is. Feel it real by dwelling in that sovereign inner state, watching thoughts settle and desires call forth conditions that reflect your newfound governance. Persist in this rein of consciousness, and outward events will turn to reflect your inner sovereignty.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, declare I am the king in my mind, and feel the I AM as ruler within. Then revise fear and watch life reflect this inner sovereignty.
