Biblical Context
Hebrews 9:15-17 describes a new covenant mediated by death, enabling those called to receive the promise of eternal inheritance; the 'death of the testator' signals the end of the old covenant and the activation of the new in consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
See this as a map of your inner life. The 'new testament' is the new state of consciousness you enter when you realize the I AM as the sole testator of your life. The 'death of the testator' is not a physical event but the letting go of old identities and beliefs that keep you bound to lack. By imagining that the old covenant has died, you release the power to redeem the former transgressions of the first testament—your former sense of separation. As you persist in this inner drama, the called receive the promise: the feeling that you already possess the eternal inheritance, not as something to obtain later but as your present awareness. The mediator fuses the two—your active I AM and the shift in belief—so that the inner death becomes real renewal. Thus, the life you live becomes the evidence of an eternal covenant lived in imagination, and your inheritance unfolds as your natural state of consciousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the I AM now; declare, I am the beneficiary of a new covenant. Feel the old self dissolving and the new sense of self taking root; dwell in the certainty that the eternal inheritance is already mine.
