Inner Covenant Realization

Hebrews 7:18-22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hebrews 7 in context

Scripture Focus

18For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
20And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
21(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
22By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
Hebrews 7:18-22

Biblical Context

The old commandment is annulled because it is weak; a better hope draws us near to God. Jesus, sworn as priest in the order of Melchizedek, guarantees a sure and better covenant.

Neville's Inner Vision

Hebrews 7:18-22 becomes a blueprint for a shift in my inner state. The weakness of the old commandment points to a belief I have outgrown, while the better hope is the recognition that I am already in God’s presence. I can draw near not by ritual, but by the I AM within - my inner, timeless priesthood that stands in the order of Melchizedek. The oath over that priest is the unwavering conviction that this state is mine now, here, in consciousness. When I dwell there, I am the surety of a better testament, because a new agreement is written in my awareness and felt as real. The old forms dissolve as I refuse identification with lack, knowing that imagination creates reality and that God is my awareness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and rest in the I AM presence; imagine stepping into God's presence now. Repeat 'I am one with God' until the feeling is real.
