Scripture Focus

5Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Hebrews 13:5-6

Biblical Context

Hebrews 13:5-6 urges contentment with what you have and assurance that God will never abandon you, enabling the bold claim that the Lord is your helper.

Neville's Inner Vision

Hebrews invites you to stop bargaining with the world and to rest in a state. Your life is the texture of your inner state. Covetousness is a weather pattern of fear; contentment is the atmosphere of faith that God never leaves you. The clause 'I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee' is the I AM reassuring the experiencer that you are never abandoned; the verse invites you to speak from that certainty: 'The Lord is my helper.' When you assume that helper state, you are not petitioning an absent deity but slipping into the consciousness that helps itself through you. The boldness to say 'The Lord is my helper' arises when you feel the presence as your own awareness; you are the one who supplies courage, resilience, and guidance. The world may present upheaval, but your inner alignment remains—your imagination, rightly directed, creates the conditions you call Providence. So revise the tone of lack, dwell in 'I AM content in all things,' and watch as circumstances respond to your settled truth.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and assume the state: 'I am content with such things as I have, for the Lord is my helper.' Feel this truth as if it is already real and carry the feeling into your daily conversations.
