Biblical Context
Hebrews 1:4 speaks of the Son being made superior to angels and inheriting a more excellent name. It points to an inner realization, not external achievement.
Neville's Inner Vision
Seen through the Neville lens, this verse declares that the inner man has eclipsed the old powers of fear and doubt. Angels symbolize the lower thoughts that appear to govern you, while inheritance means you already possess the royal title in your consciousness. The 'more excellent name' is your true I AM—an unchanging center of awareness by which you measure all experience. Not by acts, but by awakening to this inner identity, you become the ruler of your world. When you dwell in the state that corresponds to that name, your imagination becomes the instrument by which reality aligns with it. Thoughts, feelings, and sensations rearrange themselves to fit the sovereign you now assume. The movement is inward: rise in your sense of self, abandon the struggling personality, and let the higher name govern the scene. This is the kingdom of God within you, entered by recognition rather than conquest, and the external world will echo your inner shift.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume the elevated name as your present self, feeling the I AM governing you now. Dwell in that state for several breaths, revising any doubt into certainty.
