To look at Genesis 9:4 through the Neville Goddard lens is to read a law of consciousness rather than a mere diet. The 'blood' is the life-force—the animating I AM that you are. To say 'ye shall not eat the blood' is to remind you that life must not be swallowed into appetite as something to be consumed; life must be allowed to remain within you, pure and intact. When you identify with the sensation of being separate from life, you yield to craving; when you recognize the I AM as the life itself, you are careful with what you feed your psychic body. The prohibition is really a discipline: do not ingest vitality into your sense of self by appetite, but let life circulate through your thoughts and feelings, guiding every choice. Your consciousness becomes a vessel that honors life in every form; you do not drain or degrade life to satisfy a momentary hunger. As you assume and feel that you already are the life that lives, your outer world begins to reflect that wholeness—purity, integrity, and creative energy circulating freely.
