Dove of Inner Renewal
Genesis 8:8-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Noah sends a dove to see if the waters have abated. The dove cannot find a resting place and returns to the ark, signaling that conditions are still in flux.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe the dove and its fruitless flight as a symbol of your inner motion. The waters signify old mental conditions not yet dissolved in your awareness. The dove cannot rest because the outer conditions have not yielded to the new inner ground. In this script, you are the I AM—the conscious life that creates by belief. Until you assume the new state as real here and now, the old picture persists. When you reach out and draw the dove into the ark, you enact a revision from within: you declare, in feeling and imagination, that the ground of your being is refreshed. Let the inner state of renewal become your present sense of I AM, and let that awareness begin to walk the outer world into renewal. Covenant loyalty means remaining steadfast to that inner state, even while appearances say otherwise; the moment you remain faithful, the outer waters recede and the dove rests in your ark. Renewal is not distant; it is the configuration of consciousness you occupy in this moment.
Practice This Now
Assume the renewal as your present state and feel it real now. Picture the dove resting in your hand, safely in the ark of your renewed consciousness.
