Biblical Context
Genesis 47:12 describes Joseph nourishing his father and his brothers with bread, distributed according to their families. In plain sense, provision follows the inner grouping of self.
Neville's Inner Vision
Joseph in Genesis stands for the inner administrator—the I AM that distributes the bread of life to every part of you. When he nourishes his father, his brothers, and all the household with bread according to their families, it is not a historical incident but a law of consciousness: supply flows in exact measure to the inner states you cherish. Each 'family' within you represents a cluster of thoughts, desires, fears, and memories. The bread is life-energy, the vitality you feed to your own being. The way it is shared depends on the belief you hold for every part. If you maintain abundance for the 'father'—the higher self—the whole self is fed; if you dwell in lack for any 'brother' or 'household,' you experience an empty cupboard somewhere in your mind. Practically, assume a state of nourishment and let it flow through every division of consciousness. You are both nourisher and nourished; as you dwell in the I AM as supply, the inner covenant you keep reforms the self and, consequently, your outer life. The message is simple: claim the bread, feed the whole, and watch your world reflect that inner provision.
