Biblical Context
The brothers declare their innocence and present a condition to prove it: they must leave one brother behind and bring the youngest to the lord, who will then confirm they are true men and deliver their brother.
Neville's Inner Vision
These verses are not a historical puzzle but a map of your inner state. The lord of the country is the steady awareness by which you judge truth. When the brothers say we are true men, that is the I AM affirming its own integrity and setting the scene for action. The demand to leave one brother and bring the youngest is a symbolic revision: you are willing to sacrifice an old belief to allow the fresh energy of your inner child to arise. By assuming you are already true, you invite the inner test to recognize your true nature, and the famine of lack yields to the circulation of supply as your inner state becomes fact. Deliverance of the brother becomes the acknowledgment that you are complete, and the land you trade in becomes the life you live from this inner certainty. The outer scene follows the inner conviction because imagination fashions reality and God is your I AM.
Practice This Now
In stillness, repeat I am true until the feeling of certainty fills you; then visualize the youngest self returning with nourishment and your supply restored as confirmation of your inner state.
