Inner Earth, Reclaimed Truth
Genesis 4:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Genesis 4:11 declares that after Cain's deed, the earth is cursed and receives Abel's blood; the outer soil reflects the inner consequences of violent action.
Neville's Inner Vision
Behold, the curse is not imposed from outside but arisen from the inner state I have accepted as true. The earth that opens to receive Abel's blood is the mirror of my own consciousness—the environment aligning with the belief that life is separate, that I have harmed a brother and am condemned by it. In Neville’s terms, the world is the outer form of the I AM that I have constructed. If I cling to guilt, fear, and the sense of penalty, my affairs will reflect a closed soil, a ground that will not yield. Yet I can revise this scene by assuming a different I AM, one that forgives and unites. I imagine, I feel, I know that the life I offered remains in God, that I am one with every breath, and the earth now responds with renewal, opportunities, harmony, and fruit. The curse evaporates as I dwell in the truth of my unity with life. By sleeping in this revision until it feels real, I awaken to a new outer condition that confirms my inner state.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and retrace the earth opening scene as a symbolic inner movement. Then revise by declaring, "I am the I Am, one with all life; the earth now yields abundance and renewal to me."
