Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the scene you read is not about a father sacrificing a son; it is the dramatic demonstration that your inner state is being tested for its readiness to be governed by the I AM. The 'God' who tempts is the one who calls you to reexamine your deepest assumption: that your sense of self is grounded in a future promise and in an object. 'Here I am' is the firm acknowledgment that you are the I AM, not the body or the fear. Isaac, the son you love, stands for your cherished belief or goal—the very seed of your expectation. When the command comes to offer him, you are invited to release attachment and to stop leaning on that belief as the source of life. Then, when you ascend to the place God tells you of, you ascend in consciousness to a higher vantage where the old state is no longer seen as you. The burning offering is the conversion of the old image into pure awareness. In such surrender, the truth of the I AM stands revealed: you are already where you seek to be because you are the creator of your reality.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit, repeat 'Here I am' to the I AM, and softly offer your cherished belief on an inner altar. Then imagine the new state already present, feel it real, and move from that higher alignment.
