Liberation From Worldly Elements
Galatians 4:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Galatians 4:3 speaks of our former childhood condition, bound by the world’s elements. It points to the inner identification with outward rules and appearances as if they held power over us.
Neville's Inner Vision
First, this verse speaks not of stones or laws, but of the interior state you inhabited as a child of perception. The 'bondage under the elements of the world' is your identification with outward conditions—law, fear, and appearances—as if they held power over you. But these 'elements' are only the weather of your consciousness. You are the I AM, the awareness that creates the impression of limitation by imagining it as real. When you now assume the opposite state, you remain the creator who fashions the scene. The moment you decide that inside you already stands the liberty you seek, the old conditions dissolve in the glow of your inner sight. The bondage is not future; it is memory in your mind. Reclaim your state by turning your attention from the external to the inner: imagine the feeling of freedom, integrity, and power as if it is happening now. If you insist upon the new state with the conviction that it is your present reality, you will awaken it in the outer world as well.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling of your desired liberty as if it is now. Repeat 'I am free' until the sense of bondage dissolves.
