Inner Calling and Christ Within
Galatians 1:15-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Galatians 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul describes being chosen and called by grace. He emphasizes revealing Christ within him and bypassing external validation.
Neville's Inner Vision
Paul’s words reveal a moment in consciousness when the I AM yields to its sovereign task. 'When it pleased God' signals a shift in awareness, a separation of the true self from the old identifications so that the inner Son can be revealed. Grace here is not a past transaction but a state of awareness that births the Christ within. To 'reveal his Son in me' means permitting the inner Christ to stand forth in your life, altering speech, action, and how you minister in the world. The clause 'immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood' becomes a practical instruction: trust the inner directive rather than seeking outer validation or lineage. The trek to Arabia represents the mind’s desert where worn identities are relinquished, and the 'three years' mark an extended inner apprenticeship before re-entering the outward circle of influence. When you return to the world, you do so bearing the Christ within, fully capable of teaching by example without needing external approval.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling that you are the I AM called by grace to reveal Christ in you. Then imagine yourself speaking with calm certainty to your circle, needing no outer approval.
