Inner Tribes of Ezra
Ezra 10:25-29 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezra 10 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Ezra 10:25-29 records the names of Israelite families—the sons of Parosh, Elam, Zattu, Bebai, and Bani—as a record of lineage.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Ezra’s list, I hear more than a census of names; I sense a map of inner states. Israel is the I AM I awaken to in awareness; its tribes are the dispositions I entertain. Parosh, Elam, Zattu, Bebai, and Bani are not distant lineages but aspects of myself I claim: order and memory, clarity and guidance, loyalty and unity. When I align with this inner administration, Providence becomes the harmony of my inner community. To read these lines is to revise my scene: I acknowledge every trait as living within me, no fragment left outside the watchful I AM. As I own these traits, I feel the one self overseeing the whole gathering, and discord dissolves into a single purpose. The inner names become living cues for feeling: I AM the memory of right action (Parosh), I AM the clear sight of truth (Elam), I AM steadfast in purpose (Zattu), I AM faithful and steady (Bebai), I AM unity in community (Bani). Read this way, the verse invites me to align all my tribes under Providence, here and now.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Choose five inner traits you want to align (order, memory, clarity, loyalty, unity). In a quiet moment, imagine each trait stepping forward as a facet of your one I AM, and feel them gathered as a harmonious inner council—then revise any discord as resolved, here and now.
