Edge of the River Vision
Ezekiel 47:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 47 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage shows a man who is shown something and then brought back to the river's edge, inviting him to witness the ongoing flow. The edge marks a point of awareness where perception is tested against reality.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the river as your inner stream of life, the living I AM that animates your thoughts. When the man asks, 'hast thou seen this?' he is not seeking a fact but awakening a reality already within. The act of returning to the brink is a nudge that vision must be held in consciousness by the conviction that what you saw is now, felt as present. The river and its widening waters symbolize your own heart's flow; as you return to the edge of awareness, you test your perception by living from the end you desire. Your imagination does not travel outside to barter with a distant future; it returns you to your I AM, from which the current arises. In this moment the question becomes: have you seen it? If so, revise your state until the river runs through your present atmosphere, until it becomes the very current of your life. You are the witness and the creator, and the edge is where you choose to dwell as if it were real now.
Practice This Now
Sit in stillness and imagine standing again at the river's brink. Then declare I AM and feel the river of life flowing through you as your present reality.
