Dwelling Within Ezekiel 43:7-9

Ezekiel 43:7-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ezekiel 43 in context

Scripture Focus

7And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.
8In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds, and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them, they have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger.
9Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.
Ezekiel 43:7-9

Biblical Context

God declares his throne and dwelling will be with Israel forever, yet their whoredom and defilement have defiled his holy name. If they put away these abominations, he will dwell in their midst forever.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture the vision as your own inner word: the throne of God is the center of my own awareness, and the eternal dwelling is the very fabric of my consciousness. The 'house' of Israel becomes your inner state of consciousness; their whoredom and the carcases of their kings are the stubborn habits and old identities you still cling to as if they ruled you. The wall between me and them is the belief that you are separate from the eternal Presence, a border drawn by fear and lack. When you see this wall and decide to remove it, you are not changing God; you are un-doing your own chapter of separation. Put away the idols—stop kneeling to thoughts and pictures that pretend to govern you—and release the carcases of kings, the pride of past authority. Then the divine Presence shifts from the outer threshold into your own temple and dwells there forever. This is the present, not a distant event: awaken to the I AM, and you awaken to a temple that is always home to God.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the certainty 'I AM' sits at the center of your being; revise any sense of separation by declaring, 'No idol can divide my heart from God.' Then feel the presence as a warm, now-dwelling light within.
