Read Ezekiel 4 in context

Scripture Focus

16Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
17That they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and consume away for their iniquity.
Ezekiel 4:16-17

Biblical Context

Jerusalem’s siege will break the city's supply, forcing people to eat and drink by weight and measure. Their scarcity and shock will be the result of their iniquity.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Ezekiel’s vision, the breaking of the staff of bread is not a decree upon a city separated from you, but a disclosure of your own inner state. When your awareness has fallen into a belief that life must be gulped down by weight and measured by scarcity, you set up a scene where bread and water disappear from delight and become commodities to be rationed. The words 'in Jerusalem' signify the place within you where you stand in control or lack; the astonishment is your sudden awakening to the power you have neglected. Yet the remedy is simple: return to the I AM, the awareness that is the true source of supply. Assume the feeling: I AM the bread, I AM the water, I provide abundantly now. Do not resist the appearance; revise it by feeling that the state you seek is already present. In this inner revision, the siege dissolves as your mind shifts from fear to confidence, from lack to inexhaustible abundance, and what you perceived as external scarcity becomes the fruit of your inner conviction.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the state of plenty right now—feel the bread by weight and water by measure melt into effortless abundance; repeat 'I AM the supply' until it feels real. Then carry that feeling into your next moment.
