Gog and the Inner Judgment
Ezekiel 39:1-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 39 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God declares He is against Gog, will cripple his power, and cause him to fall before Israel. In this act, the nations will know that the Lord is holy.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Ezekiel’s call, I respond as the I AM in you. Gog is not a man but a stubborn belief that you are separate from the divine presence. When the Lord says 'I am against thee,' He anchors your attention to the argument that there is a power outside of awareness opposing your true being. The turning back, the reduced sixth part, and the coming up from the north are inner moves of consciousness: a partial retreat of that belief, a repositioning toward the mountains of Israel—the center of your true awareness. The smiting of the bow and the losing of arrows are the disarming of old modes of attack in your life—faculties that once defended the dream of lack or threat are disabled by the light of realization. The ravens and beasts devouring the slain symbolize the vanishing of that dream as your attention is drawn to the living I AM. Fire on Magog is the ignition of divine presence in your daily thinking, proving to you that the Holy One is within. The day spoken is the moment you remember: I am, and I am holy in you.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit in stillness and assume the I AM as the active presence opposing the belief in separation; state 'I AM against Gog within me' and feel the old fear yield to the realization of holiness.
