The Lord's words are not distant judgments from heaven; they are the inner movements of your own life. When you feel anger and envy toward others, you are naming a state of consciousness you have allowed to rule your inner world. 'I will act according to that state'—the verse says—so that you may know that I am the LORD, the awareness behind all you think and do. The mountains of Israel are your fixed beliefs and strongholds about desolation and possession; they can be burned away by your inner discipline, not by external chastisement. As you permit the inner motion of anger to be judged, not denied, you make room for a higher awareness to arise. The moment you entertain the revision—'I am God, and I hear'—you feel the I AM within you, the living Lord, asserting itself. Your outer scene then aligns with this inner truth, and the sense of separation dissolves as you realize the imagination is the master of your life.
