Read Ezekiel 33 in context

Scripture Focus

3If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
4Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
Ezekiel 33:3-5

Biblical Context

The passage presents a watchman who must warn the people; if he ignores the trumpet, blood is on his head; those who heed the warning save their souls.

Neville's Inner Vision

Let me tell you: Ezekiel's trumpet is not out there; it is a call in your own consciousness. When you perceive a threat in your life, the land and sword arise as inner movements; the trumpet is your decision to awaken to a new state. To blow the trumpet is to accept responsibility for your inner weather and to imagine the state you will inhabit. If you hear the sound and refuse to warn yourself, the sword comes and takes you away from the life you have imagined; the debt is paid by your neglect of the signal. But he who takes warning delivers his soul by turning within and assuming the condition you wish to wear. Through persistent revision and feeling it real, you anchor a new state, and the life around you will conform. The trumpet is the I AM speaking in you; heed it, and you govern your world from your inner throne.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and hear the trumpet in your mind. Then declare aloud, I am the watcher and I now assume the state of mastery; feel it as real and let it reform your day.
