Biblical Context
Ezekiel 30:10-12 speaks of God declaring Egypt will be cut off and land laid waste through Nebuchadnezzar; the land will be destroyed, waters dried, and sold into the hands of the wicked.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember, beloved, that in this language of prophecy the land and its ruin are not distant places but moods of consciousness. When Ezekiel speaks of Egypt’s multitude ceasing by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar, he is naming the moment when a persistent pattern of fear and scarcity is dethroned by a stronger awareness. The rivers drying and the land being sold into the hands of the wicked symbolize the purging of habits that have fed your sense of lack. The Lord’s declaration, I the LORD have spoken it, is not a history lesson but the proclamation of your I AM, the ever-present awareness through which nothing true can perish. Your task is to let the old power collapse without resistance, and to regard the vacancy as a divine invitation to restore your inner garden. What remains is the return: the exiled self reclaims its rightful abundance under the sovereignty of God within you. You are not at the mercy of distant empires, but master of your inner realm through unwavering awareness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, rest in I AM, and assume the state: 'The old land is gone; my inner rivers run clear.' Feel it now as if real, for a minute or two.
