Scripture Focus

23For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
Ezekiel 28:23

Biblical Context

It speaks of a city struck by pestilence and bloodshed, with wounds and judgment felt on every side. It ends by stating that the people will come to know that the LORD is present.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Ezekiel's oracle, the city is your own mind, a Tyre-like state where thoughts of fear and self-importance flood the streets. The pestilence and blood are storms of belief—fear, pride, resentment—that sweep through its inner life when you identify with them. The divine 'punishment' is the soul’s invitation to wake up to the governor within. The sword is the decisive act of inner judgment—the moment you refuse to feed the old story and declare, 'I will no longer allow this story to rule me.' As you stand in the I AM, the old wounds are seen for what they are: transient states of awareness that can be dissolved by the very presence of God within. When you acknowledge that you are the LORD of your inner kingdom, you know that conditions reflect your state; the storm is dissolved, the city reorders itself, and healing dawns. This awakening is not external reform but the shift of identification from the think-feelings to the I AM who animates them. The line 'they shall know that I am the LORD' becomes immediate knowing in your experience: the I AM governs, and through that awareness the world adapts to truth.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and declare, 'I am the LORD of this inner city.' Feel the I AM as your governing presence; imagine the pestilence dissolving and the streets becoming bright as you rest in that awareness.
