Ezekiel 25:12

Biblical Context

Ezekiel 25:12 states that Edom’s act of revenge against Judah is a deliberate offense punished by the Lord, highlighting accountability for acts of vengeance.

Neville's Inner Vision

On the inner level, Edom is the stubborn, vengeful mood that resists the good of the soul. The 'house of Judah' is the inner temple—the I AM in expression. When I indulge a grievance and rehearse revenge, I offend the very consciousness that creates my life and invite turmoil. The Lord God speaks as my I AM, reminding me that this vengeful state cannot endure the light of awareness. The outward events are but echoes of that inward gesture. To heal, I must revise the memory, withdraw the energy from retaliation, and imagine the entire self—my inner temple—settled, righteous, and free. By blessing what I once blamed, I dissolve Edom and restore harmony to the mind. I am the imagination that creates; therefore, I can undo the imagined harm by imagining reconciliation, justice, and peace within.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling that you are safe and whole; revise the scene by declaring, 'I am the I AM; I forgive and release Edom; I bless my past and restore harmony within.'
