Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse declares that the holy things of God were despised and His Sabbaths profaned; it points to an inner neglect of sacred order.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within your one self, the holy things are your states of consciousness that you name as sacred. To accuse God of profaning Sabbaths is to recognize how you have treated moments of rest and inner order as ordinary or unworthy. Ezekiel speaks not of distant rites, but of your inner rhythm. When you dwell in the I AM, you are keeping the Sabbath in awareness: a deliberate withdrawal from the restless updates of fear and desire, a resting in the truth that you are already complete. To despise what is holy is to imagine you are separate from the divine be-ing within; to profane the Sabbaths is to pretend you are not allowed to pause, to withdraw from the world long enough to listen to the still, guiding I AM. The cure is simple: assume that the sacred is now established within you, and revise any habit of neglect. Your inner sanctum is not a temple outside you; it is your own awareness, now fully honored, and restfully lived.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume the sacred is now established within you; revise any thought of neglect by affirming, 'I honor holy thoughts and rest in the I AM.' Then, feel it real by closing your eyes and dwelling in the sense of complete inner Sabbath for a few minutes.
