The Inner Sword of Judgment
Ezekiel 21:6-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 21 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Ezekiel is told to sigh as a sign of coming judgment; a sharp sword signifies threatened slaughter; the people will tremble and rulers be exposed; the prophet is commanded to prophesy and to strike his hands, signaling the intensification of judgment.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, hear Ezekiel as the compass of your I AM. The sigh with breaking loins is the emotional surrender to a fixed belief you have long entertained; when that belief yields, the inner temple trembles because a new truth is born. The tidings arrive as a vision of change—hearts melt, knees weaken—precisely to wake you to the power you wield within. The sword, sharpened and glittering, is your decision of consciousness. It cuts through hesitation and makes the rod of limitation appear as an old image you can lay down. The sword is given to the slayer within you—your disciplined imagination—so that you may handle it bravely. Cry and howl, for fear is a signal to assert; prophesy and strike your hands together, as your I AM commands, to seal the decree. Let the sword be doubled a third time—threefold conviction—until the old ruling ideas lie slain, and their private chambers yield to a new sovereignty. In that inner victory, exile ends and return begins, as I AM redraws the script of your life by present decree.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, place a hand on your heart, and declare, 'I AM the ruler of my inner world; this new state is already true.' Then dwell in the feeling of that truth for a minute, repeating it three times today to seal it in the subconscious.
