Ezekiel 19:2-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 19 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
A lioness, mother of cubs, nurtures her whelps until one cub grows into a young lion who devours prey. The nations hear of him, trap him in a pit, and carry him away to Egypt.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember, Ezekiel speaks in symbolic theatre for your inner life. The mother lioness is the posture of your awakened I AM, and her whelps are the many thoughts and habits that roam your inner savannah. When one whelp becomes a young lion who devours prey, that is the moment your belief takes on power and moves to act in the world—yet it is still your possession, not an outside foe. The nations that hear of him are the crowd of outward stories about you; the pit and the chains to Egypt symbolize clinging to old beliefs that bind you to limitation. The great secret is that exile is not permanent; the Kingdom of God lies within, waiting for a simple revision. If you treat the scene as a dream you are awake from, you can revise it with the I AM present. Recast the lion as a guardian, the prey as misperceived needs, and Egypt as a worn-out idea. In that moment you restore your sovereignty and walk again in the promised inner realm.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the I AM as the lion within; revise the scene so the whelp becomes a guardian of your inner realm, not its conqueror. Feel the presence of the inner kingdom and know you stand sovereign now.
