Biblical Context
Ezekiel 14:4 warns that anyone who sets up idols in the heart and comes before the prophet will be answered by the LORD according to the multitude of those idols. The verse invites inner reform, not outward ritual.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, the idols are the beliefs you cling to about yourself and life—the images you have set before your inner sight. When you bring these idols to your inner prophet, your imagination, the LORD answers in harmony with the sum of those beliefs. The I AM you are is the witness; the Lord is your awareness reflecting your inner state. To change the answer, you must revise the idols, not beg for new outcomes. Let fear, lack, or limitation be examined and replaced with the truth that you are already the I AM, whole and complete. See each idol as a thought-form—an idolized self-image—and deliberately replace it with the awareness that you possess now what you seek. Persist in this revision until the inner image aligns with your goal, and your outer world will mirror that alignment.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly and declare I am the I AM, then revise one dominant idol in your heart into the truth of your divine self, holding the image until it feels real.
